Hi! My name is Dénes Szántó (a.k.a. jan Tene in Toki Pona). I am a 17 year old boy from Hungary.
I made this page to blog about my various interests here including: Philosophy, Theology, Western Esotericism, History, Tabletop Gaming, Toki Pona, and whatever other rabbit holes I happen to fall into.
It would be very hard to accurately list my wide range of interests or their respective aetiologies. Interestingly, however, most of them can more or less be traced back to my fascination with the history of Western Esotericism and the Occult, which could have come from my childhood copy of Wizardology, fantasy stories I read, or RPGs.
I'm not a practitioner though, and I don't know much about contemporary praxis. I am mostly concerned with historical usage and traditions.
Toki Pona, along with linguistics in general, mostly came from content on YouTube. It was Adam Aleksic's video on the language that first caught my eye in early 2023. I was definitely interested in conlangs, even before then, but that's when I first tried learning to speak one of them.
After completing lipu sona pona, I wrote a short article on cryptography in the language, which motivated me to start doing bigger, more meaningful projects.
